The Weight of Glory – Pastor Emmanuel Dansu

SCHOOL OF DIORTHORSIS

Minister: Pastor Emmanuel Dansu

Text: 2 Chronicles 5:13,14

Weight talks about burden or heaviness. In scriptures, we see how the descent of God’s glory creates a lasting impression because it is quite heavy. The appearance of God’s glory in Solomon’s temple made the priests not able to stand to minister. When the glory of God comes, every knee bows.

Hebrews 12:1; Matthew 11:28-30
Living in sin and following Jesus are both burdensome. However, following Jesus is way more rewarding than living for the devil. We have to trade the burden of sin for the easy yoke of Jesus.

Luke 24:25,26
Suffering precedes glory. For you to carry the weight of God’s glory, you need to develop inner strength in the place of discipline and suffering. Many people prefer to jump over suffering to display the influence of glory but it does not work that way.

Matthew 3:11,12
We need to always remember that the baptism of Jesus is with the Holy Spirit and fire. Be sure to know that fire represents suffering.

You must be ready to carry the responsibility of glory before you can manifest the substance and exert the influence of glory. At the backend, the weight of glory crushes and purifies you; at the frontend, the weight exerts influence and makes admirable impact.

2 Corinthians 4:1-18
We have received a ministry to always look at Jesus in His glory so that we can move from glory to glory. This can be tiring and boring but we have received mercy to keep holding on. To morphe into higher realms of glory, we have to reject dishonesty, deception and craftiness. You must always live your life as an open book.

Sexual immorality appears to be more powerful than the devil because God told us to flee from sexual it but admonishes us to resist the devil and he will flee.

The suffering and the pains you go through and the sins you forgo are not to be compared with the glory ahead of you. The glory ahead of us is worth sacrificing for. We have to pay the price of suffering and discipline to be able to carry the weight of glory God has designed for us.
