THE HIGH CALLING OF GOD ( DAY II MORNING )

MORNING SESSION II

PASTOR AYO JEJE

Wisdom is not learning. The core of wisdom is the Spirit. There is a dimension of wisdom that can only be birthed in the Spirit. Headship is not authority, it is about being a source. Christ as the Head is the source. If you want to last stay more with God.

PSALM 64:1-4:

Hear me, my God, as I voice my complaint; protect my life from the threat of the enemy.Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from the plots of evildoers. They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim cruel words like deadly arrows. They shoot from ambush at the innocent; they shoot suddenly, without fear.“;

I CORINTHIANS 4:1:

This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed.

We own nothing at all. We owe everything to the call. It takes divine election to come to God. The Spirit of God is a mystery. We can’t explain it away. Ministry is 10% pulpit. We are expected to take the ministry to the marketplace. If you are with the Lamb you must be a lamb. The Lamb is actually a Lion who laid down His Life. He initiated the order of sacrifice. Our foundation is the fact that we have a call by grace. If we approach our call from a position of grace, we will not have any cause to raise shoulder.

MATTHEW 11:28-30:

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.“;

JOHN 17:1-3

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Anointing breaks the yoke but it also brings a yoke. However, that yoke is easy. We are debtors, not to the flush but to the Spirit. The strength of the Spirit is meekness. How precious your word is will be determined by how textured your heart is. The order of the called, chosen and faithful has a common denominator and that is response. We have been called and we have to respond to be chosen. There is always a beckoning and we have to continually respond. The first calling, which is a general call is to know God and the final calling is to know the Christ. The revelation of Christ that you have determines how you see yourself. Whatever you see in Christ is who you are. Peter’s interaction with the Christ made him understand the value of stones. The Devil knew the value of stones so he told Jesus to turn stone to bread. In the same way today, the Devil wants us to turn every precious thing God gives us into bread. We do not live by our fleshly appetite. One thing the heavens do not reject is hunger. We must continually hunger for the high things of God (Deuteronomy 8:3). Faith and repentance run through the whole of our walk as believers. Repentance must accompany us in our journey all the way. Nobody has the right of intention apart from God. He is the source of all truth. We must seek to understand truth just the way He intends it.

MATTHEW 19:16-26;

PHILIPPIANS 3:3:

Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

The Rich Young Ruler had so much of confidence in the flesh having fulfilled every jot of the Ten Commandments. However, his wealth had captured his heart so much that he could not let go. Coming into God requires God bringing you. You cannot come just because you want to come. Our walk with God is not a set of hard and fast rules but a continuum of demands of the Spirit. As such, we must always be on the lookout for the next directive. There are always promptings in our hearts according to the Law of the Spirit, our response determines if we are faithful or not.

“There is a beckoning, an incubation and a nurturing as we press into more and more of God. Like lambs, He tenders us so that we can be strengthened in Him thereby becoming like Christ.”-Pastor (Mrs) Adebola Osanyinbi
