The Harvest (Day 7: Closing Session I)

PASTOR TAYO LADEJO

I JOHN 2:12-14:  I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake. 13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. 14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.”

COLOSSIANS 1:8-9: ” Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit. For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding”

Everything about the Old Testament tabernacle talks about Christ. The Old Testament is a shadow of the things to come. Shadow gives vague outlines of reality. Sometimes, we pay attention to the shadow in order to understand the mind of God. God is always directing the little children to the basics of salvation. That talks about the outer court. The outer court is the place of infancy. The Holy Place refers to the place of strength where maturity begins. It is the place for young men who have strength to overcome the wicked one. The wicked is not the one who spills blood but the one that lures, he is the deceiver. Young men in the Spirit operate by discernment. They are already experiencing the lampstand, the seven spirits of God. They have access to the shew bread which represents revelation. The outer court does not really talk about love. In the Holy place, love is paramount in because it is a life beyond the veil. Little children are only concerned with their rights. Young men deal with the Father and all He represents. Little children only care about possessing their possessions, young men are concerned about the Father possessing them.

What makes a man spiritual is not power, rather, it is love. Love is the yardstick of spirituality. Love is not being nice. It is all about being like the Father. The fullness of God is love. Anyone who makes love his focus will always defeat the barrage of darkness.

Prayers are incense to God. Any prayer that does not pass the litmus test of God cannot be recognized by heaven. Knowledge about God is not the same as the knowledge of God. This knowledge of God is interaction with God. To know God is to walk according to spiritual order. We need to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will. It is that knowledge that will fill us with the character of God. This knowledge does not just educate, it is the understanding that brings man into perfection. One thing is to see God, another thing is to be established in what we see of Him. Wisdom is the translation of God’s knowledge into reality in our lives. Accuracy comes with transformation and maturity. One of the things that commands Divine authority in a man’s life is fruitfulness which comes about as a result of maturity.

ROMANS 5:1-5: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” ;

PHILIPPIANS 3:15: “Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.”

To be justified is to be discharged and acquitted from all evil counts. The Devil is a lawyer, he is an accuser of the brethren. Christ is a lawyer, He has argued our case and He has obtained judgement for us. Sin has no legal right to us because we have been freed of all charges. Our sins have been atoned for and blotted out. We need to always take the written statement of the Judge to enforce our rights. All the sins we ever committed or we will ever commit have been paid for. However, that is not a license to sin. If we keep sinning, we will not enter into maturity.

We need the Spirit of God to constantly reinforce our foundation. We all need to advance steadily. We press into maturity and completion where corruption is fully swallowed up by life. When we know that we have been accepted by God, we have peace. Peace is not necessarily the absence of troubles, it is rather knowing that God does not change no matter what happens.

We have access to the Father. Access is admission into the realm of God. It is admittance into intimacy with God. Our justification and access are products of grace. Hope is anticipation. It is vision and perception of invisible spiritual realities. One duty of the Holy Spirit is to establish us in hope. Hope delivers us from the vanity of this age. Hope makes us to see the blessedness that transcends the present realities, as such, it helps us to be sanctified, set apart unto God. Hope comes by tribulations. God has to deal with every evil tendency in us. He uses his fire to burn us to ashes killing us to self and then we can begin to wait on the lord. When we get to that point, experience and character come. Character is the end of hope that makes not ashamed. Wisdom is an asset in the Spirit. Money is an asset in the natural. In the context of eternity, wisdom is worth far more than money.  Wisdom is highly essential in the harvest.
