PASTOR AYO JEJE
LUKE 10:1-2: “After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. 2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.” ;
JOHN 12:24: “ Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.”;

The harvest of the Lord is different from the Lord of the harvest. The harvest is God’s prerogative. It is His harvest. The harvest is holistic. It is such a big ‘application’ in God’s Kingdom that captures the whole essence of God.
The Jewish feasts (Passover, Pentecost and Ingathering) revolve around the harvest. A large chunk of Jesus’ parables also revolves around the harvest. The most important thing in the harvest is the seed.
If the harvest is God’s prerogative, if He is the Lord of the Harvest why do we have to pray Him to send labourers? Prayer does not initiate things, it only keys us into what God has completed. The best prayer will do is to give us access into that which God has prepared ([biblegateway passage=”I Corinthians 2:9)” display=”I Corinthians 2:9)”]. Prayer helps us to partner with God. It also show our dependence on God. The greatest work of sin and the antichrist spirit is independence.
MATTHEW 16:18:“ And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”;
II CORINTHIANS 3:18:“ But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord”;
GALATIANS 3:1-3: “ O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3.Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?”
PSALM 8:2: “ Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.”
Until we know Christ we can’t really know ourselves. What you see in the mirror is not you. The real you is what you see when you look into Christ. The soul is very tricky. In a moment, Peter caught a powerful revelation of God. In the next moment, he was diametrically opposed to God’s will.
The true experience of God is not in the ecstasy or the goose pimples. Until our encounter with God transforms us, we will amount to nothing. If we are aware of the great atrocities of the flesh, we will be totally dependent on God. The highest level of dependence is to be babes. We have to be babes to be sons. When we build curricula on our experiences with God, we may stop following God all together. We must never get to a point where we will never need God. That is the path of destruction. We must never leave God to do our own things.
The world is constantly striving to be independent of God. The greatest thing that happened when man fell was that Satan lured Eve into independence. The highest level of dependence is to be suckling. When we are babes before God, we will conquer the enemies at the gates. In Isaiah 9:6, Jesus was said to be a child born, a son given who shall also be the Everlasting Father.
EPHESIANS 1:17:“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:”;
COLOSSIANS 3:16:” Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”;
I CORINTHIANS 8:1: “Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.”
Wisdom is what makes knowledge applicable. The fallen soul is not wise enough to separate between good and evil because he has eaten of the tree of good and evil. He is capable of both. When you begin to see yourself in exalted ranking, you are coming down. Knowledge puffs up. Knowledge fuels self-dependence which pitches man against God. Harvest is maturity. Harvest is a door of transition. The kingdom is transition. There is no transition without maturity. The seeds produce the harvest and the harvest produces another generation. The seed cannot bring forth another generation unless it dies first. We cannot come into the harvest if we do not understand the wiles of the Devil. The harvest is not for ignoramuses; [biblegateway passage=”II Corinthians 2:10-11″ display=”II Corinthians 2:10-11″];
