PASTOR (MRS) ADEBOLA OSANYINBI
ASSIGNMENTS
LUKE 19:12-13: ” He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. 13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.”;
II TIMOTHY 4:5: “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”;
I CORINTHIANS 3:6: “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.”
Harvest talks about life. It talks about seed. It talks about investment in the Lord. Each and every one of us has a place in the Lord. Harvest is a time of work, commitment and output. It is not just a time of enjoyment. Anywhere you find yourself as a labourer, you have a leader and you are under authority. There is an assignment for each one of us in the kingdom and we must all be up and doing.
Some of us don’t know how to manage things kept in our care regardless of managing spiritual things. We should always evangelize and reach out to people and be committed to the things of the gospel. Our gifts should be adequately used for the Lord. We need to be broken; your heart must be broken before you can preach. Most of us can’t bring people to Christ because we don’t have broken hearts.
To come into God is to come into life. It is only when we come into God that we have the opportunity to be all that God wants us to be. The plans and purposes of God are to bring us to an expected end. We need to know the technology of harvest to produce bountifully. We need to till the ground and that requires strength. You need to know the kind of work you are entering into because it is an assignment in which you must succeed.
We have a mandate to occupy till Jesus comes. God has commissioned us into serious business on His behalf and He expects us to be gallant and valiant in our occupation. God did not just give us an assignment without equipping us, He has graciously endowed us with the equipment we need. In the course of your assignment, you need to ask God to tell you what to do. He is the Lord of the harvest.
We have been called into various assignments to the intent that God might have a harvest. We need to go about this assignment with a sense of responsibility. God gives the increase, yours is to come into the harvest and work diligently. The reward comes from the Lord. You just keep preaching; just keep sowing seeds.
ISAIAH 61:1: “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound”;
ACTS 10:38: “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”;
MATTHEW 10:1: “And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.”
The Spirit of the Lord has been made available to us to facilitate our assignments. The task becomes easy for us when we collaborate with the Holy Spirit. The Spirit came upon Jesus and He went about preaching good tidings unto the meek; binding up the broken hearted; proclaiming liberty to the captives and opening the prison to them that are bound. We have all been given assignments and we have to abide in the husbandman so that we can have good harvest.
There are two important parts of the harvest: the labourer and the seeds. There are seeds in the word of God that must be planted. We must learn how to mine seeds and sow them. Every one of us is an evangelizer and we should always endeavor to live up to our calling. The best thing that can happen to any man is for him to walk with the Lord. To yield a productive harvest, we must always walk with the Lord.
the spirit is one.
this is a Blessing to me
