ROMANS 16:17-20(KJV): ” 17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. 19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. 20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.”;

We pray for our leaders so that they will not open themselves up to the Devil and so that we can live peaceable lives. Towards the end of David’s life, the Devil provoked him to number Israel and that led to death among God’s people.
PSALM 127:2(KJV): “2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.” ;
REVELATION 2:9-10; 3:4-5, 7-9
Peace is keeping our cool no matter what our circumstances are. It is God’s desire that nothing worries or troubles us no matter how unpleasant things may be. We must not allow our situations lure us out of God’s peace.
Not all churches are right for people to attend because they are synagogues of Satan. Attending such churches take our peace away. The peace of God is everlasting; it is not constrained by death. It transcends this present life. Even if God never shows up in our earthly lives, we can still entrust him with our lives. The Devil pressurizes us so that we can lose our focus on God and thereby losing our peace. We are expected to hold on to God without wavering knowing that every situation has an expiry date. We must not soil our garments just because we are under pressure. The peace of God is what keeps us grounded in the will of God.
Faith is not always about having our needs met instantly. Faith can require holding on to God even while we wait on Him to grant our request.
JAMES 5:11(KJV): “11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.”
The God of peace cannot vindicate us if we do not stay faithful to Him till the very end. For Satan not to have the last laugh over our lives, we must be at peace with God so that His peace will always answer for us. When tribulations come we must not be fooled by them. They are the Devil’s ways of making us lose focus on God. We must realize that God is always in control. The peace of God is an everlasting peace. Even if God doesn’t seem to show up, we need to remain faithful. Faithfulness in spite of all odds requires patience.
