JOHN 1:4,12(KJV): “4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name”
To believe in someone is to have total trust in him. We have to believe in Jesus Christ in order to have the power to become sons of God. The objective of God for those that believe in Him is coming into son-ship; it is not just about going to heaven. The Word, the Light and Life came right from the beginning to equip us for son-ship. Earthly wealth has no value before God. We cannot transact business with heaven if we are not rich in these resources. When you have the Word, you have Life and Light and when you have these, you cannot be hidden.
JOHN 1:13(KJV): “13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”;
REVELATIONS 10:7(KJV): “7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.”

[biblegateway passage=”ROMANS 9:10-22″ display=”ROMANS 9:10-22″];
There are the will of the blood, the will of the flesh, the will of man and the will of God. We must find the will of God in all things and fulfill it. The will of the blood is merely genetic and people can be proud because of their backgrounds (John 8:33). The will of the flesh is the will based on human desire. Esau was going to carry the birthright by the will of Isaac his father because of venison (Genesis 25:28). The will of man may not necessarily be evil. It could be a result of passion and concern (Romans 9:3-5).
The will of God transcends knowing the right thing to do, it is doing things that transport us into son-ship (James 1:18). Our being here is election according to purpose. The purpose is son-ship. God according to His will, can have mercy on some people and then harden others. Paul, a murderer, became an apostle according to purpose. God elevated Pharaoh for destruction according to His will. Sometimes, the will of God is a blank cheque. People get to fulfill them by what they do or not. For instance, someone had to betray Jesus and any of the twelve apostles could have done that perfectly. However, Judas, by his deeds, fit into the prophecy perfectly.
TITUS 3:5(KJV): “5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost”;
I CORINTHIANS 1:1(KJV): “Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,”;
ROMANS 8:29-30(KJV): “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”
Our salvation has nothing to do with anything we have ever done. All we need do is BELIEVE. Having believed, we have to begin to do the works of righteousness. If we don’t produce such works we will not grow to become sons. However, in producing works, we must never shift our focus from Jesus to our works. Focusing on our works will disqualify us ultimately. Paul discerned the will of God for his life to be an apostle. He had no choice other than to live up to his calling as an apostle. On our journey to son-ship, we must know that there is a will that backs up the process. We must be committed to that will such that we will land safely. Everything in creation is subservient to God’s will. Even the Devil has no choice than to serve God’s will.
