At this particular point in our lives as believers when the Devil is set loose, affliction is bound to show up. Affliction is anything that is being heard of men that makes the heart of men to quake. The reason why we make a shipwreck of our salvation is because we have a false hope in the original sense. We always feel following God is bed of roses and so when we get encompassed with infirmities or afflictions arise, we cringe.
It is important for us to understand that affliction is for the manifestation of the Glory of God in our lives though the Devil brings them for our destruction. There is no way we will not be persecuted or afflicted. It is not impossible for the Devil to let go. The devil is not a flesh, he is a spirit so when there is a change of allegiance. He pursues instantly until the end!
In times of affliction we must hold on to the fact that God will never forsake us. In any affliction we find ourselves we must be aware that there will always be an end to it. We must not suffer afflictions as criminals. When we go against the laws of the land and we get punished, we cannot claim to be afflicted for the sake of the lord. It is as a result of shifting allegiance from the Devil to God. And this affliction often distracts us from God.
Being saved or confessing the name of the lord Jesus as your lord and savior is enough reason for the devil to afflict you. There is a weight of Glory that comes with the acceptance of Christ and a light affliction, the devil doesn’t want anybody partaking in that wave of Glory.
The affliction being compared to the permanent wave of Glory that comes throughout eternity is considered as light affliction because it is temporal. Receiving the lord Jesus Christ to your life is a threat to the devil and his authority over you.
Our light afflictions are transient and fleeting. We need to be faithful to the end when an eternal weight of Glory waits us. Our light afflictions are preparing us for an eternal weight of Glory. The afflictions will pass but the Glory is forever.
Afflictions look eternal but we must be resolute in enduring them because they will surely pass. We need a lot of difference to acquire the eternal weight of Glory.
Security; prosperity of the soul and body; are some of the needs of the regenerated soul. The soul of the man is strong to go on any adventure if the reward is right. Given a convincing price, the soul of man can even press against seemingly impossible journeys in afflictions.
The devil depreciated when he was thrown out of Gods kingdom. He is being depreciated continually as believers walk continuously in Christ Jesus. We should begin to have a right picture of God’s reward system of our salvation so that we will run the right race. The reward of following God is so generous that we should not miss it for anything
The only thing that sustains us is the eternal wave of Glory. What is considered as the fruit in Genesis is whatever that appeals to our eyes. Eve did not understand that she had been made like god already, but she ate the fruit.

God promised Abraham with lots of blessings. And in the course of his journey, he endured afflictions because of the promise. We should be motivated and steered up in this journey. The issue of mansion is not Geographic, it is a placement, a position, what Christ has come to promise us is beyond heaven, and the picture is what we will become in him. It is a place of Son-ship.
All the wealth of this world outside of God are mere grass that will pass away. The reward God has promised us is nothing compared to all the substances of this world.
If we abide in Christ, we are called into a place of Son-ship, that a place of equality. The society is speaking about egalitarian. But it is a false system.
The reward of following God is to become God. This is a huge threat to the Devil, as such; he will ensure we miss the reward. The hope of our calling is worth waiting for no matter what it costs.
