Every one of us who is a child of God is called to hear God. God wants believers to live a life where everyone can function without a title. We have been made to believe that some believers are called and some not called which is actually not true.

Each of us must learn to hear God for himself. Languages of the spirit are simple impressions that require faith to act with it. It also requires humility for those impressions to be harnessed. Many times we wave off various pictures God has given us mentally because we don’t know was God speaking.

LANGUAGES OF THE SPIRIT

  1. Mental impressions
  2. Emotional Stirring
  3. Experiences
  4. Sensational impressions
  5. Still small voice

Emotional stirrings sometimes come in terms of sympathetic pains. Whenever we ignore such impressions that God has placed in us we displace opportunity for God to use us. We have to learn the languages of the Spirit.

Experiences teach us how to live with the languages of the spirit. The physical sensations most times makes us feel God’s presence wherever.

The language of the spirit comes as impressions that are very subtle. God most times speaks in the still small voice and we must value his still small voice and pay attention to it.

MECHANICS TO HEAR FROM GOD

+Take time to find a place where God can speak to you.
+God speaks through his word. The time you spend learning to hear God speak is much more valuable than any other thing.
+consciously quiet your spirit.
+Tune in to God. We must learn to tune into the frequency of the spirit.
+listen, be quiet be relaxed and let God do he talking
+write all that comes to your mind, you can sort them out later.
+be honest, a thought comes quickly and escapes more quickly: not every thought comes from God that’s why we need to test it.

BLOCKS THAT HINDERS US FROM HEARING FROM GOD

  1. A habit one refused to give up
  2. Deciding not to forgive others
  3. Disobedience to instructions

There’s no use hearing from God and not obeying him. We should put to practice what God always tells us.
