The Importance of Foundation Laying: Leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ is not the same as throwing away the foundation. If the foundation is not properly laid, going unto perfection will be absolutely impossible. We must not make the mistake of assuming that everyone that shares high revelations has the right foundation. Building from the top down is catastrophic. It is better to build from the foundation to the superstructure.
The Importance of Laying Foundation with Alacrity: Time is very important; there is a time for every thing. When things are not done at the right time, frustration can set it. It is important not to waste time in laying the foundation so that we can advance unto perfection.
The Importance of Continually Checking your Foundation: It is important to continually check our foundation to ensure that things don’t go out of hands. It is always wise to reevaluate our foundation from time to time as we build. We have to keep checking the foundation because
1. New people are being added to us every day.
2. We can forget about our foundation as the house gets higher and higher.
We move unto perfection with the help of the five fold ministry. Christian communities will need to open their doors more and more to the five fold ministers. More so, ministries should adopt the team based approach of the early apostles rather than the superstar shows we have come to know. It is more potent to provide the right environment for raising ministry gifts in the local assembly.
Perfection is about all of us. It is not an individualistic affair. God’s moves end because men add some elements of flesh to them. Evil speaking is one instrument that can cheaply destroy any move of God. If we can spend more time speaking in tongues other than ‘gisting’, it will help to bridle our tongues. When it comes to forgiveness, don’t let people offend you before you think of forgiving them. Give everyone a blank cheque of forgiveness ahead of time.

We must stamp out every work of the flesh if we must go unto perfection. We must learn to speak the truth in love. We must not hide under cheap or hyper-grace to perpetuate the works of the flesh. Fornication, uncleanness and covetousness must never be named among us. The short leash dog might not be free, but it has greater intimacy with the owner. If we are going unto perfection, we must have short leashes. As we move towards perfection, our human freedom gets more and more limited. Perfection draws us closer and closer to God. Perfection will make us to sacrifice some things that are pleasurable.
It is important to never use the prophetic to validate the right choice in marriage; it will back fire with time. Once you miss it in marriage, it is difficult to go unto perfection. To know who to marry,
1. You two should agree (Amos 3:3)
2. Make sure you are drinking from the same source
3. Be emotionally and mentally compatible
4. As the man, contact the authority figures in the woman’s life before you take any step at all.
Our message of perfection must find practical expressions in our day to day living.
Prayers
- Lord, help us to marry the five fold ministries together in one place.
- We ask for wisdom to always encourage one another to check our foundations.
- Wherever I have dishonoured you God, have mercy on me.
