As believers, we ought to keep growing in faith. However, we must also understand that there is a relationship between faith and time. When we do/desire something in faith, it may take time for it to manifest, but one thing is sure: it will happen. We need to become so patient with God to see His workings. Without patience, faith may not act.

Hebrews 11:1ff
We can talk about faith because God first called us and the height of God’s calling is that we may please Him according to Revelation 4:11. God is the one that started Faith.

Here are some of the things we should pay attention to as it pertains to Faith;

God is only committed to his commitment. If you have not kept your part of a covenant with God, you cannot enjoy His commitment to you. Having faith does not amount to automatic manifestation; there is a place of effort. The height of God’s commitment is to His word according to Psalms 138:2. This is why we must have a full grasp of the word of God. Except we become versed in God’s word, we may keep knocking on the wrong door.
We must keep a clear conscience (1 Timothy 1:19). We should be careful not to enter a dead mode. Not keeping a clear conscience will not help our faith life.
We must be kind people. This is not about sin alone. It is about our disposition to people even as the word of God commands it.
We must learn to be consistent. Consistency is important for growth. Elisha in 1 Kings 18:44 prayed seven times until rain came. Imagine he had stopped the first, second, third, or sixth time, the rain would not have come. In exercising our faith, we must learn to be consistent. Consistently keep asking. God is not only interested in giving us what we ask; He wants to reward us. So, we must keep asking. Consistency is what brings results.

In coming to fullness, we must keep exercising our faith.
