Diorthosis 2022 – The Fullness of Christ – Rev. Odun Orioke

Diorthosis COnvention 2022 Day 4
Morning
Message III
Ministering: Rev. Dr. Odun Orioke
Topic: Growing in Grace until the Fullness of Christ
The call to grow spiritually is a serious one and it is meant for all. Spiritual fullness is a call to higher ground. It is a call to become a better version of ourselves. As God’s stewards and soldiers, we are called to become the best that we can be. It is not enough to be saved, we must keep moving forward and upward spiritually – this is growing into fullness. We must become insatiable in the things of God. Even when you are walking right, you should pursue a closer walk with God.
Ephesians 2:7; Colossians 2:10; 2 Peter 3:18
Growing in grace is not only for new converts; it is for all. Christ has grace and the Holy Spirit without measure. The measure of these things in us ought to increase too. The Lord has finished His work in us, it is left for us to manifest it making the whole world see and bringing honour to His name.
The Church in Galatians 4:19 were referred to as little because of their level in Christ and not because of their chronological age. As we grow, we must keep the following in mind:
– Growth is sweet but it has pains.
– Growth takes time to build and cultivate but we must be persistent. What we do not know should not stop us.
– God expects growth from His people. He is not happy when we don’t grow.
– God commanded us to grow (1 Peter 2:1-2). Growth requires serious commitment and investment.
– Growth makes us stronger and more productive in life, both spiritually and physically.
– We should not just grow; we should grow mightily (Acts 12:24).
– God forgives and forgives totally.
– He blesses us with renewed and better life.
– He has poured out the riches of His grace to us.
– Grace is more than unmerited favour. It connotes six things:
o Unmerited favour
o Excellent character
o Supernatural enablement
o Spiritual gifts
o Spiritual offices
Ephesians 4:13
Coming into the fullness of Christ is to be just like Jesus. Growth takes time but you must be persistent. What you don’t know must not stop you from growing. Satan may throw many things at us but we must stay undistracted.
Turn to God with all your heart and from your own ways. Be connected to Christ and walk with Him daily. Cooperate with God and trust Him to work these things perfectly in you. These steps will guarantee you the fullness of Christ.
