Diorthosis 2022 – The Fullness of Christ – Rev. Gbade Ogunlana

Diorthosis Convention Day 3
Morning
Message II
Ministering: Rev. Gbade Ogunlana
It is essential that we outgrow babyhood. According to 1 John 2:12, one of the things that characterize young men is their victory over the wicked one. This victory comes from the place of knowledge. If we do not know what is in us and what has been given to us, we will not be victorious.
Ephesians 4:27
We have absolute authority over the devil. The effectiveness of our authority, however, depends on how much understanding we have. In 1 Peter 5:8,9, we are admonished to resist the devil. This is because we have the ability to do so. Unfortunately, rather than resisting the Devil, we are afraid of him. This shows how deficient we are in the knowledge of God’s word.
To adequately walk with what the Scripture says, we must have faith in it. Nonetheless, living a life of faith does not rule out the place of challenges. Even Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil (Matthew 4:1). While the wilderness is not a friendly place, being there allows us to gain stamina.
We must be spiritually sensitive enough to be able to discern when God is dealing with us and when the Devil is throwing punches at us. It is critical for us to learn how to persistently fight because the Devil is persistent in his fight against us. Thankfully, victory is promised to us if we know our rights in Christ and we can exert them appropriately.
With faith, we can overcome the wicked one. Though it may look like the enemy is winning at first, we should never be discouraged; for little by little, our faith will grow enough to win the battle.
With prayer, studying, and consistency, we will get to that fullness for which we are anointed. Every son is anointed (Acts 10:38, Luke 4:18). This anointing is not meant for personal aggrandizement; the right use of this anointing is an indication that we are growing into the fullness of Christ.
