God uses numerous tools in solving people’s problems but the greatest of them is faith. Faith is expressed most times in the nature of our speech. The way we respond to situations will tell how great our faith is.
Genesis 1: 1-3
God, at the creation of the world, did not like how void and formless the earth was, rather than complain or grumble, He acted and the entire creation came to be. Like God, we will be confronted with different situations but we must learn to respond appropriately – respond with faith! This begins with our words. Words are dangerous; God made the creation with words. This is why creation responds to words. This is why we also must be careful with our choice of words. We must be able to use our words to create beautiful things like God did.
Our salvation package came with different goodies but we may not enjoy these goodies when we cannot bring them to pass with our words. We must begin to condition our minds to believe the truth about our situation. This is when our words will be backed up with action.
Mark 11: 20 – 24
This scripture reveals our words’ power if they are said in faith. No matter how challenging our situations are, we can break through them with our words. Jesus said we can move mountains using our words. This is our great the power in our words is. If we trust our words enough, it has the ability to create and recreate. While we may not get the result immediately, we can be assured that the result will come. The higher the prize we hope to get, the more challenging the process may be. If the prize is worth the effort, then we need to stay with our declarations until we see results. We must start cultivating the habits of conscious speaking.
Isaiah 55: 9-11
No one else has the power to create a future for us. We will create our future by ourselves using our words. God is so confident in His word that He said none of His. word will come back to Him without fulfilling its purpose. As God’s children that we are, we must come to that point where our words do not come back without carrying out their purpose.
