Certain words are supposed to be of restricted use, it should only be used among deity. An example is the word “awesome”. By faith, we are able to see the awesome expressions and demonstrations of God on the earth. We should learn to acknowledge all of these experiences each time we experience them.
God’s hand is so big that the hollow of his hand can hold all the waters in the universe. He meted out the heaven with His span. He can count the sand, measure the volume of waters and weigh the mountains. No one can direct the Spirit of the Lord or counsel Him.
He is all in all, the embodiment of all knowledge. God is the author and the finisher of the syllabus of our faith and so He is qualified to grade the scripts of our lives. All of the nations of the earth summed up are just like a drop of water and a peck of dust before God. All the beasts of the choicest forests and waters of the earth are not enough for a burnt offering unto God.
“To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?”
Isaiah 40:18
We cannot liken God to anyone or anything, known or unknown. He is in a class of His own. He sits upon the circle of the earth, He makes the earth His footstool. He stretched out the heavens like a curtain and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.
Anytime we confront a problem, the underlying question that begs for our answer is ‘Who is God?’. When we back out on God in challenging situations, we make Him less than our circumstances. Sometimes God will push us into certain problems so as for people to know the God in us.
When people seek to plant legacies of vanities, their judgment is that they shall be blown away and wither as stubble. There is nothing in creation that God does not know to the smallest unit. When a hair falls of your hair, God knows its position and genetic code. It is foolhardy for man to think that his ways are hidden from God.
No man receives anything on earth except he has been given from the heaven. We can only bind on earth what has been bound in heaven. God knows the minutest details of our lives and He’s got everything in control.
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31
There is a waiting upon the Lord that we need to learn. God is not an ATM, that you put in some pin digits and you get something in return immediately. At times, there is a necessary waiting, and there are times where the strength of man is little and a time of waiting is required.
God gives power to the faint and He increases the strength of those who have no might. All we need do is wait upon the Lord so that our strength can be renewed and so that we can mount up with wings as eagles. If we wait on God, we will run and not be weary and we will walk and not faint.
