The Church is a group of people that have the capacity of altering mind sets. She also has a judicial edge. One primary dimension of God is being the judge. He is also a father in another dimension. His judge nature was needed to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah but his father nature saw an intercessor in Abraham who could stem the judgment. God needed Moses, the intercessor of the Israelites to leave his presence so that he could pour his anger on them. In other words, as far as Moses was there to intercede, his judgement would not descend.
DANIEL 10:10-15; 20-21
For us to understand judicial issues, we must understand books and know what promises are available unto. Whosoever must rule in the earthly realm must first of all appear in the courts of Heaven as a priest to obtain permission because God rules in the affairs of men. Elijah petitioned heaven so that there might not be rain for three and a half years in Israel. His words held sway because he was authorized by heaven.
MATTHEW 7:21-23 :
“21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.“
Authority is different from power. We cannot do certain things on earth until we have obtained authorization. Acting without authorization can expose us to judgment. We should learn self-control and obedience as Jesus did. Authorization is very important in the operations of the Spirit of God. Jesus did not heal everybody he came across because he did not have permission to do so. Jesus had power to solve every problem but he did not do so because of the issue of permission. Jesus did not attend to Blind Bartimaeus until he had the green light to do so. It is not enough to have power. We also need authority to demonstrate power. We cannot obtain permission to demonstrate power if we have not been in the throne room.
MATTHEW 18:18-20
We can only bind on earth what has been bound in heaven. Nothing is loosed on earth until it is first loosed in heaven. We can approach the courts of heaven with agreement based on an established fact. We must always approach the throne with our strong reasons.
ISAIAH 6:1-5 :“In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. 4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.“; 6-11
Anytime God is found sitting on a throne, he is sitting as a judge. In that capacity he is not father or friend, he is for justice. Isaiah was seen declaring judgement Isaiah chapters 1-5 but Chapter 6 reveals that he was not authorized of God. God was still looking for a man to send when it could be easily assumed that he sent Isaiah. Jacob literally pronounced judgement upon Reuben, Simeon and Levi for their wrong doings. Several years down the line, Moses went to the throne room to obtain permission to reverse the curses.
NEHEMIAH 1:4-6 : ” 4 And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven, 5 And said, I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments: 6 Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned.“
We can’t obtain authorization to do certain things if we don’t have the heart of obtaining a verdict. Many of us believers are yet to become knowers but God really wants us to come into a place of understanding so that we can know. Arrogant priests will not be permitted to obtain verdicts. Only concerned and burdened priests will be permitted, such priests are priests who are touched by the infirmities and sufferings of men. Nehemiah identified with his peoples’ sins so that he could represent them.
DANIEL 7:1-14
The ancient of days has all the power and dominion to rule in the affairs of men. We should learn not to pray just for the sake of praying. We must always understand that nothing moves on earth until we obtain permission from the throne. He who can wield authority in the court room of heaven is the one who can wield authority in human affairs. It will be difficult for us to access the throne room if we are not given to prayers. We need a life of consistent prayers if we must be recognized in the courts of heaven. We also need wisdom which only the Holy Spirit can give in order to get justice from the throne room.
