Diorthosis 2022 – The Fullness of Christ – Rev. Gbade Ogunlana

Diorthosis 2022 Convention Day 3
Evening
Message II
Ministering: Rev. Gbade Ogunlana
Christ is the peak of all things and we are all aspiring to become like Him. The Scripture referred to Him as the head of all principalities.
One of the laws that govern life is the law of sowing and reaping. One aspect of sowing is giving; our giving life affects our finance. To get our due dividends, our giving should be premised on love.
Giving is an act of faith. While we may not have excess money in the bank, our faith in God is sufficient for our daily living.
1 John 2:12-14
Fathers have been described differently by different people. While some define fathers by status, others use wealth and material possessions as criteria. However, according to 1 John 2:12-14, the main thing about fathers is knowledge. No one is qualified to be called a father if they do not know God.
You cannot become a father through crooked means (Mark 10:35-37; Luke 22:24); you have to know God. This kind of knowledge can be acquired, experiential, or revelational. We are expected to know more as we journey in Christ.
Another way to gain knowledge is through acts of service. Active service in God’s vineyard opens us up to certain knowledge. Also, in the place of service to God, we come in contact with different people whom God uses to train and mold us.
Unfortunately, many people find it hard to submit themselves for training, and as such, they flee. If you run away from the place of God’s training, you will repeat the training and might even end up in a worse condition. If you lack good human relations, you might miss out on some of God’s packages for your life.
Acts 15:25-28
Knowledge can be gained through a personal relationship with God. Fathers, over time, have learned and know how to be led by the Spirit of God and they recognize the ways of God even in tough situations.
2 Timothy 2:15
One other way through which knowledge is gained is by studying God’s word. If you do not study, you cannot acquire knowledge. The Church will not be in the mess it is in today if her teachers were students of the Bible. It takes sound knowledge to be a father and a teacher
