Ministering: Rev. Gbade Ogunlana
Text: 1 John 2, Ephesians 4:11-12
God gave gifts to men for one purpose: to bring us to maturity. Thus, it is pertinent that we diagnose ourselves to know where we are in the scheme of things. We must understand that being activity-oriented is not equivalent to growing just like having titles is not equivalent to growth.
1 John 2:12
At salvation, we become recreated and are born into God’s family. As such, God expects us to relate with Him as a Father and not as a taskmaster. Having this mind allows us to walk freely as Priests and Kings on earth. In essence, sickness, curse, and bondage are not supposed to have power over us. Our God is light and there is no shadow of turning in Him.
As God’s children, we must be familiar with our Father’s voice. While many desire to hear God audibly, hearing the audible voice is the lowest form of communication from God. It shows that we are not as sensitive as we ought to be. God’s primary way of speaking to His children is through the inner witness. Thus, faith is needed if we must really enjoy our relationship with God as our Father.
It is only wise that we relate with God in all sincerity as we recognise Him as our Father. The one who fathers us will provide, protect, heal and reward us when we do His bidding.
In most cases, God calls us to function in our places of primary assignment. As such, we have to find our appropriate locations and represent our Father impressively by displaying the Fullness of Christ.
