Joshua 1:1
God wants us to succeed but He has his own process. To succeed in a way that is acceptable to Him, you must subscribe to His method. In so doing, we must pay attention to the following.
Stop looking at the past- Joshua 1:2
Moses died but the God of Moses is still alive. He is always ready to lead, guide and direct His people because His best is not in the past. God has His best reserved for the future.
Have an objective- Joshua 1:3
To succeed, you must be able to clarify what your purpose for living is. There is a need to consciously define your vision on earth and that of eternity so that you can prepare adequately to fulfill those visions.
You have to be intentional in how you live your life and avoid living carelessly without goals. When there is no goal, you have nothing to long for and nothing with which you can measure your level of satisfaction.
Deal with your limitations- Joshua 1:4
You have a large expanse of land to cover and you have to brace up for the challenge. You must not be myopic in your expectations as God has vast resources for you.
Having a mindset of limitations is an insult on the Almighty God. You need to enlarge your capacity to accept that God is limitless and unlimitable.
Be courageous- Joshua 1:5-7
If you have chosen to succeed with God, nothing can withstand you. You can take on any mountain and surmount it.
There will always be reasons to doubt yourself and God who has called you. Nevertheless, you have to be strong and of good courage knowing that we have all we need to succeed as far as we are in the same camp with God.
God is always there for us and we must overcome our fears to have a headway. You will never succeed if you are not ready to confront the issues, problems and challenges of your life. Commit your ways unto God and let go of every iota of doubt knowing fully well that God is in the Journey with you.
Do not be scared of asking for help or meeting the right people who could be of assistance. You have to confront your fears by being intentional and always showing up.
Be mindful of God’s word- Joshua 1:8
To be successful, you must make reciting the word of God your lifestyle. Understand the word of God clearly and be vast in its application in your daily life. Develop yourself to a point where the word of God becomes your default response to all life situations. Constantly confessing the word of God might sound arrogant but you must be deliberate in declaring what you really want.
Meditating on God’s word is very important for whoever wants to relate with men and with spirits. To be successful in God’s own way, you must be disciplined in meditating on God’s word and on things the Spirit of God might be prompting your heart towards. Likewise, you have to learn how to abort every evil thought that might creep into your heart because every thought attracts spirits.
Be deliberate in achieving your goals
Knowing what to do and meditating on the procedures are not enough to birth success. You must take deliberate actions in achieving your goals and fulfilling God’s purpose for your life. That way, you can make your ways prosperous and have good success. Good success is the blessing the Lord gives without adding sorrow to it.
