Riches talk about the abundance of God. They cannot be got on a silver platter; riches are found in the depth of God.
Romans 11:33
If knowledge and wisdom are found in the depth of God, then riches are also in there. The deeper you dig, the more the riches you find. As God’s children, we are supposed to come into a deep relationship with Him so we can enjoy these riches.
God’s riches are not only in terms of material things, they can also be in the form of knowledge, wisdom and grace. These riches have been prepared for us by the Father of glory before time began (Ephesians 1:3-7).
Unfortunately, ignorance is a major stronghold keeping us from enjoying the benefits of God’s riches. God has made provisions for both physical and spiritual riches for us but when we refuse to operate at His level, they will not manifest.
1 Corinthians 2:9
We must establish a solid relationship with God before we can access His riches. With God being the Creator and Father of riches, He is determined to bless His children. Unless we are truly His, we cannot enjoy the riches of His glory.
1 Timothy 6:17
God owns everything and gives to His children without reservation. Since He is that generous to us, He expects us to bless others without holding back too. In doing this, we lay up for ourselves spiritual treasures that are not subject to decay (Matthew 6:20).
Ephesians 3:14-16
One of the riches of God is the Spirit of God in us. This Spirit blesses us with strength, power, peace, love, joy and grace. These are riches that cannot be found elsewhere. Our access to the word of God is another basis for riches.
The more rooted we are in God’s word, the more established our riches are. Through the word, we know more about Christ, His fullness and love; these are tremendous riches (Ephesians 3:19).
Colossians 1:27
God’s intention for giving us His riches is so that Christ may remain in us. Christ in us is our only hope of glory.
The riches we have in Christ are limitless. They go beyond what we can see or imagine. The earlier we realize how blessed we are in Christ and come into these riches, the better for us.
