The Riches of the Kingdom

18TH JANUARY 2022

Minister: Dcn. Michael Oladejo

We cannot exhaust the riches of God’s kingdom, they are unsearchable. These riches are made available to us believers in as much as we are in tandem with God.
Ephesians 1:3-7
First, many of us have come into the point of salvation, the point of being grafted into God’s kingdom. We have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. What granted us access to this office is our relationship with God.
Heb 10:19-23
There is a relationship that was established and initiated when you accepted Christ. A relationship entails partnership and commitment and without communication, there is no relationship. Communication is what brings us access to these riches.
What the world thinks of as riches are position, power, prestige, money, etc. However, these are not the things we are talking about. Part of the riches of the kingdom is the ability to pray; Jesus exemplified this by remaining in touch with the Father through incessant prayers. We need to know Christianity is all about responsibility and not just receiving goodies from God.
Colossians 2:2-3
Having to say boldly that you have the life of God in you is part of the riches of the kingdom. We already have access to the Father but are we leveraging this access? We are gifts to the Body of Christ; every one of us has a flavour we add to the body. You will be confident of your flavour when you have constant fellowship with God. Part of the riches of the kingdom is salvation. Jesus came and died for us so that we can be saved.

Ephesian 1:7-14
The forgiveness of sins is part of the riches of the kingdom. Redemption is part of the riches of the kingdom. The love of God is part of these riches. God has given us access to come boldly to His presence. To press into these riches, we must be given to prayer. What you treasure will give you pleasure. Where your heart lies, is where you derive pleasure from. When God gives you the privilege to know what is to come, you are rich. Healing is part of the riches of the kingdom. When we fully demonstrate these riches, we manifest God’s glory and the world will marvel.
Mark 3:14
The first reason why you’re saved is to be with Jesus. The essence of coming to salvation is not to run into ministry but to be with him first and to know what He is doing.
