The Glory and The Riches of His Kingdom; Day 5 Morning Session

Title: The Law of Faith

Minister: Pst Tayo Ladejo

Everything we express in God is an outflow of grace including our expression of faith which is one of the riches of the Kingdom. Faith is our trust in God’s integrity to fulfil His word. It is to believe that by His integrity, He will perform His word. When we connect to the Spirit and bring our minds to agree that He has ability to cause His word that has been spoken to be fulfilled, that is an expression of faith.
Faith can also be defined as a conviction about the unseen abilities of God. It is not the same as hot feelings neither is it like a strong will. Faith is not a state of desperation, it is not also consenting to a matter or agreeing to a standpoint. Faith is not based on presumption and it is not an assumption of what we think God wants. Faith is a strong conviction in the word of the Lord.
Faith is set in motion by the illumination of the Holy One. With a clear understanding of the word of God, faith is ignited in every man. The moment we humble ourselves and recognize that we need help, the Holy Spirit does a work in us and generates faith in our heart which can bring down grace.
Romans 12:3 – Every child of God has a degree of faith in God. Therefore, it is inaccurate to claim that we don’t have faith because we do. It is implanted in us as a seed and transferred to us by the breath of God. Every child of God has faith as a seed and we need to develop it.
Through faith, we are able to upturn the activities of darkness in the earth. It is a divine capability through which we are required to defy the odds of life and operate in the reality of what God has promised us. Faith is the divine force with which the will of God is enforced in the earth. It is the working of the Spirit by which life in the spirit can be fostered. Faith is what shifts our consciousness from the natural to the unseen dimensions. We are supposed to be naturally supernatural, operating seamlessly between the two worlds.
Faith is a force of righteousness by which we can show forth godliness in the earth. Faith is the driver of the spirit by which we can access the realm of all possibilities (the realm of God).
The implant of the seed of faith is done by God but the nurturing is our responsibility. The illumination of the Holy Spirit is what ignites faith in us but it is our duty to create an enabling environment through meditation.
We create an enabling environment for faith through meditation. Meditation is the act of thinking and pondering upon the word of God that has been spoken.

You should watch what kind of environment you live in. In the company of the ungodly, the word of God spoken to you will be choked (Psalms 1:1-3). Therefore, do not accommodate men who bring negative atmospheres around you.
Consciously speaking the word of God is an act towards gearing up faith in us (2 Corinthians 4:13). It is important that we meditate on the word of God and speak it till we see its manifestation. You should not allow the contrary words of other people get at you as you declare what you want in accordance with God’s will. Your conviction needs to be right for there to be a sporadic alignment with heaven’s will.
In the application of faith, there are two aspects: FAITH TOWARDS GOD and FAITH OF THE SON OF GOD. Faith towards God entails the understanding of the fatherhood of God (Matthew 7: 7-11). We will automatically know how to appropriate faith if we understand the fatherhood of God.
The fatherhood of God doesn’t require anything of you but just an understanding. However, when you decide to take faith to a higher level, a process is ignited. This process confronts the flesh and employs the power of the gospel to deal with our motives and intents so that the purity of God can find expression. This is what the faith of the son of God involves.
Faith is a powerful tool in harnessing the glory and the riches of the kingdom and we must always ensure that it occupies the centre stage of our walk with God.
