Text: Romans 7:15
Minister: Pastor Bola Bello
Within the body frame of a man is another that can be called ‘The Hidden Man’, which is the real man. The hidden man is invisible and can be good as well as evil.
Unfortunately, many people give so much attention to their physical, outward man who is seen but little or no attention to the hidden man. When we begin to give more attention to the hidden man, we will live better lives.
1 Peter 3: 3-4
Our lives are not defined by our physical appearance but by our character and this is a function of the hidden man. Also, the state of the hidden man is influenced by the environment, level of education, exposure, etc. Therefore, we need to intentionally monitor what we feed the hidden man. Additionally, as the physical body has its member, so does the inner man.
Colossians 3:9, Galatians 3:20
There is an old man that needs to be crucified in every man. That crucifixion is what happens at salvation; the old man is dropped to put on the new man. Daily engagement with the word of God and constant fellowship in prayer activates the hidden man.
The more of the word of God we allow in our hearts, the godlier we will become. Galatians 5:16, 24–We get to walk in the Spirit by giving attention to the word, prayer, fasting and other spiritual activities.
