Basically, it is not we fighting the devil. We are joining the Kingdom of God to war against the powers of darkness.
Satan is a legal being. He uses laws to fight us. Knowing this, we come to understand that flesh and blood cannot engage in this spiritual war. Only a spiritual man can. Therefore the first thing to be done is to be born of the Spirit (to come into a new life).
Salvation is an engagement (enlisting) of men to come into the Army of Christ. The day you are called into obedience and yieldedness unto Him Who you have said “Yes” to.
Our obedience to Christ is now disloyalty, rebellion and enmity against Satan, and consequently, we are open to his attacks and assaults. It is important to know these things so we don’t fight blindly.

The devil as our adversary does all he can to subvert our efforts, and so, we must have a clear understanding. God does not want us to become weary because of the lack of understanding of spiritual warfare.
Just like in the military, you can’t be allowed to handle arms unless you have gone through the required training, drilling and exercise (that is, the process of the armory), it is the same with spiritual warfare.
There are many afflicted in the body of Christ today because they have not girded their loins with the belt of truth. The truth gives us stability in the day of battle. This is why you must study the word. The sword of the Spirit is the Word of God. You must pray according to the word of God. God is not moved by our display of emotions. He is moved by His Word, and we must go forth with the consciousness of this armor we carry.
The Word of God we receive only becomes truth when it has become a revelation. This is the truth that sets free.
The work of righteousness is a gift. When you have the righteousness of Christ in your life, you are protected and secured. It is a protective weapon and it will guide you.

God is our armoury, refuge, and stronghold. But He is not a refuge for those do not who trust Him. Our trust in God begins by believing in the finished work of Christ.

“For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings”. Our accurate response in the day of battle comes by the accurate knowledge of spiritual warfare received.
The most difficult battle to overcome is the lust of the flesh. This is the first battle we must overcome because man is earthy and what he does is always earthy. We must come into the new spiritual life. Walking in the spirit continually.

Your faith works with righteousness. Without faith you will not be able to lay hands on the sick. Without faith, you will come to believe that, it is impossible to thrive in a difficult economy. We must apply spiritual principles and laws rightly to experience breakthroughs in different spheres.
Faith in God and the faith of the Son of God helps us to stand and overcome. The more we overcome the many adversaries we face in life, the more testimonies we have.
Finally, The helmet of salvation is important to obtain protection. May the Lord help us.
