SO GREAT SALVATION

PASTOR BOLA BELLO

The truth about salvation is a great one. It is not a concept of sinners’ confession alone. It does not only involve being saved from our sins. There are many things that accompany salvation.

We tend not to pay attention to certain things having a mindset that we are complete and perfect already, and these things pertain to our salvation. This is why we often find ourselves struggling with a lot of things.

Romans 10: 7- 21

Our confession is a testimony of what we have witnessed. Salvation is the confession of a witness. It is not just about what we say with our mouths, it is what our hearts have received and has become faith.

We were not present when Jesus died and was resurrected, but faith is generated when that witness is believed by our hearts.

Genesis 49:18

Salvation does not come from any man. It comes from God. The above text shows that there is a prophetic state of man- one who is called “Dan”, described in Genesis as ‘a serpent and a viper by the way who bites the horse’s heels so that the rider falls backwards’. In such a case, the rider of the horse needs salvation.

The enemy’s interest is on the souls of those who are saved. If you are negligent about the issues of your salvation, you are likely to be oppressed and afflicted. The devil has no right to oppress and afflict you any longer.

Acts 9:15

Paul recognized Who he had been persecuting. He called Him “Lord”. It is a very dangerous quest for the Devil to attempt to oppress you. He is “kicking against the prick” by doing so. It is our legal right to daily bruise the head of the serpent as we put an end to his operations.

Salvation does not only deal with heavenly things alone, although following heavenly things would spring up earthly blessings for us.

Romans 8:29

We all have a common destiny and that is to be conformed to the image of the Son of God. You have all it takes to be who God wants you to be.
