2 PETER 1:3-4(NLT): “3 By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. 4 And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.“;

Jesus came to save us and deliver us from sin; He saved us so that we won’t go into damnation and so that we can becomes sons. Why do we spend so much time with minor things that inhibit our growth into son-ship? God has given power to as many people that receive him; He has given them permission and the right to become sons. Most of us believers don’t make use of this right due to ignorance, fear, etc.
Christianity is not all about stopping sin; it is about us becoming sons. In the process of becoming a son, the weight of sin drops. One cannot even be a son when surrounded by iniquity. Being a minister of the Old Testament and being a minister of the New Testament are not the same. Being a minister of the Old Testament is being a minister of death. God empowers us to have the knowledge of Him. When we speak of the word, it’s not about quoting scriptures but having a sound knowledge of God. It is the knowledge of God (coming into an experience in daily walk with God) that releases power.
When we become sons, people will see Glory and Virtue in us. We need both life and light in becoming sons of God. Biological life dies; it’s not sustainable. It needs food and many physical things to sustain it. Everything that is in creation requires various things for sustenance. God’s life cannot be sustained with anything; it is self-sustaining. God is offering us his own kind of life. When we start to harness God’s kind of light, it will generate the power God desires us to have.
MATTHEW 13:3-6(NLT): ” 3 He told many stories in the form of parables, such as this one: “Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds. 4 As he scattered them across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them. 5 Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. 6 But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died.”
, ROMANS 2:7(NLT): “7 He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers.”
The heart is very important in the place of son-ship. It determines if we will ever become sons or not. The issue of son-ship requires perseverance. The word of God has the power to transform us from being mortal into immortality.
