GENESIS 1:11-12: And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
We should see ourselves as virgin lands that need to be planted upon. In the book of Genesis, God had a situation on his hands. He initiated a program for the future, so he put man on earth to be in charge of his other creations so that man and God could cooperate in advancing God’s purposes. God saw a huge future harvest so he started from a small beginning planting seeds. We need to begin to pay attention to our lives because we are kinds of seed. We should be wise to understand that every fruit has different values. The kinds of seeds we plant determine the kind of harvest we produce. We must visualize the kind harvest we want so we can plant the right seeds.
PROVERBS 4:23: Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.;
EPHESIANS 2:1-2: And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power.
Our lives will take the shape of whatever is planted in it. Our destiny is determined by what we plant. We should therefore guard our hearts with all diligence so that wrong seeds wouldn’t be planted thereby producing wrong output. Plant the right seeds so that the tree grown can produce the right kinds of fruit. Princes have been planting seeds while men slept, because the devil wants seed produced after his kind.
We were dead in trespasses and sins because things were flowing from our souls that were producing death. In order to be quickened in Christ, our hearts have to be renewed. We need to identify what God did not plant in our lives and clear them out. We cannot afford to leave our hearts empty, it will give an opportunity for the devil to plant his seeds in them. Even nature cannot withstand void. We cannot afford a nonchalant lifestyle. We have to guard our hearts, we should invest the right kinds of seeds in our hearts. If we live our lives without planting seeds consciously, we will reap harvest of thorns and thistles. We have to make the right kinds of investment on our hearts consciously.
GENESIS 8:21-22: And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. 22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.;
MALACHI 3:10: Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
What led to the first fall was the imaginations in men’s hearts. As long as we are alive, seed time and harvest should not cease. We shouldn’t be busy with the wrong things of life. What to do when there is harvest is to invest for the days of famine. Disasters don’t come warning, they are usually sudden. Our lives must be properly invested. We should not abandon our farms (hearts). Activities must go on continually on them.
Every blessing is either an opportunity or an idea. Sowing is a process of time. We need to seek the face of the Holy Ghost on the kinds of seeds to plant. The Holy Ghost is the greatest resource we have access to and we must relate with him to our advantage.
