The Revelation Of Jesus

PASTOR OLUWASEYI OSANYINBI

GENESIS 1:1: “ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”;

JOHN 1:1-5:” In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. ;

REVELATION 1:1:  The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:”

Jesus must be revealed. We need to know who He is and who He is not. Many people still relate with Him as the one who was born on Christmas day but he is far more than that. There were people who knew Jesus only in the flesh. However, the Apostle John had profound knowledge of Jesus as we see in his writings and the Revelation of Jesus that he had. John was so intimate with Jesus that he dug into unthinkable depths in Jesus of Nazareth and Jesus the Christ.

In the beginning, when there was nothing, there was no distinction in the Godhead. It was just all about the Elohim. Along the line, we got to see the distinctions among them: God the Father wills things; God the Son speaks them and God the Spirit executes them. Everything, seen and unseen, has its whole essence in the Godhead. Life is embedded in whatever emanates from the Godhead and that life is self-perpetuating. When God speaks, the word takes a form that is self-producing.

God’s mind is vast and incomprehensible. He is in charge of the whole Universe. He has everything under control. His eyes are going to and fro making sure that all of creation goes according to His will. What kind of mind is this?!

 ROMANS 8:20: For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,”;

PHILIPPIANS 2:6-9: ” Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is”;

[biblegateway passage=”PROVERBS 8:22-31″ display=”PROVERBS 8:22-31″];

The Son was important in the salvation of men. He stepped out of eternity for the salvation of the earth because nobody could please God completely. Adam subjected all of creation to vanity in hope that proper sons could be raised unto God with Jesus being the First Begotten of them all. The Son is the Personification of Wisdom that was needed in the whole creation process. He came to the earth looking foolish but he displayed the wisdom of God in order to secure salvation for man.

The Devil must have had a high level of confidence when he attempted to overthrow God. He must have seen God as a weakling decked in only one stone (Sardine) while he (Lucifer), on the other hand, was decked in several precious stones. As such, he overrated himself and took a chance but he failed woefully. Indeed, the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of the wisest of beings! Jesus gave up a lot to save us. Eternity will not be enough to appreciate what He forfeited to make sure we are saved.

JOHN 5:18: ” Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself “;

HEBREWS 10:29: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?”

To be called son of God is to be said to be equal to God. God gave us this great privilege at an unfathomable cost. He literally gave up His privilege in heaven and put all that God represents on the line thereby taking a serious risk for our sakes. When we tread underfoot the Son of God, we make ourselves liable to unthinkable judgement!
